Nigeria becomes the first black African country to have featured in the 2018 Winter Olympic Games in the area of bobsled and skeleton which featured three female bobsleigh team known as Akuoma Omeoga, Ngozi Onwumere, Seun Adigun and Simidele Adeagbo in skeleton sports.
